War has been waged across the kingdom of Myrtana. Orcish hordes invaded human territory and the king of the land needed a lot of ore to forge enough weapons, should his army stand against this threat. Whoever breaks the law in these darkest of times is sentenced to serve in the giant penal colony of Khorinis, mining the so much needed ore.

The whole area, dubbed "the Colony", is surrounded by a magical barrier, a sphere two kilometers diameter, sealing off the penal colony from the outside world. The barrier can be passed from the outside in – but once inside, nobody can escape. The barrier was a double-edged sword - soon the prisoners took the opportunity and started a revolt. The Colony became divided into three rivaling factions and the king was forced to negotiate for his ore, not just demand it.

You are thrown through the barrier into this prison. With your back against the wall, you have to survive and form volatile alliances until you can finally escape.

It happens that on Windows 7 game loads in RAM, but thus isn't launched (process hangs in RAM). Try to apply a following trick (thanks to electriq from rutracker.org forum):
If on Windows 7 Gothic (or Gothic II) won't start, you can do:
- launch a game twice;
- open the task manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc);
- kill rundll32 process together with which first Gothic process is killed automatically (but the second process remains);
- play Gothic game with a joyful shouts.

Gothic 2 no tiene traducido los textos de los dialogos. Unicamente menus.

He bajado algunos parches de dlan pero me da errores,

he visto que algunos parches funcionan con mod, gothic 2 al igual que el 1 debe ejecutarse 2 veces para poder quitar el proceso rundll32.dll y se ejecute, sin embargo el ejecutable mod no permite lanzarse 2 veces mostrando el mensaje "ya se está ejecutando"

Al ejecutar el juego me sale la version (eng) indicando que está en idioma inglés, aqui están todas las traducciones de dlan

He probado con las basicas y las nuevas y crashean.

Talvez los subtitulos ya estén y sea cambiar algo en el juego, pero investigando no veo el como o donde.

Los videos no tienen subtitulos hay una traducción de los videos que he probado y si funcionan. No pesan gran cosa por si quieres añadirlo.

Gothic 1 fue toda una pasada, tan genial como lleno de bugs xD

Tras mucho probar encontré los textos de los dialogos y ya solucioné!

La ruta es: \_work\Data\Scripts\CONTENT\CUTSCENE

unicamente cambiando estos archivos Ou.dat y Ou.lsc, y no crashea ni nada.

usé los archivos de la traducción basica con expansión Gothic2NOTR.rar, sin embargo no me reprodujo la intro con subtitulos, Si los reproduce, si se espera unos segundos en el menu, o si se inicia una partida nueva despues de conversar con el mago (ctrl para aceptar y escape para evitar dialogo)

Con las mejoradas sucede lo mismos, se "buggean las cinematicas" la segunda cinematica no se muestra despues de la conversación con el mago, se escucha pero queda en negro. Tal vez sea la resolución. Sigo probando.

[EDIT 2] SOLUCIONADO!

- Usando la traducción mejorada Gothic2_mejorada_v1.1.rar reemplazando unicamente los archivos content y nada más.

- Para solucionar la falla de las cinematicas, ejecuté el game.bat 2 veces, cerré el explorer.exe y luego cerré el rundll32.dll

- Probé varias veces y las cinematicas se ejecutan perfectamente y sin retraso.

- La traducción mejorada tambien abarca la expansión.

Y las cinematicas con subtitulos tambien, pero floppy, espera, aún no lo hagas, hay un problema, a parte de que el juego se crashea cada 15 o 30 minutos (lo cual leyendo es normal y se soluciona reduciendo la calidad del mod) los textos de los dialogos de otros personajes se cortan, dejandote con el panel de preguntas pero sin saber la respuesta.

Probaré con otros y ya te diré.

 - Asi pues, está esa traducción unicamente copiando el contenido CONTENT
 - Bajar las cinematicas con subtitulos
 - cerrar el explorer .exe antes de ejecutar si no se ven las cinematicas
 - Para algunas compus ejecutar 2 veces el juego y cerrar el explorer.exe y luego rundll32.dll

 - el juego se crashea bastante y es por errores de memoria, buscando encontré este tema:

 - usando la linea -force-d3d9 parece arreglarse el crasheo, pero los graficos se tocan a veces, bastará
 - Si aun hay fallos reducir a la mitad los graficos mod en visualizaciones lo arregla.

Creo que eso será todo... gothic es una buena saga pero carajo los bugs y errores ,':^)
