Con esta largamente esperada secuela, del aclamado por la crítica y alabado profusamente Deponia, el jugador entra en la segunda ronda. “Chaos on Deponia” se descubre para ser incluso más loco que su predecesor y poner al instante al jugador bajo su hechizo.
Tras lo ocurrido en Deponia, parace que Rufus ha vuelto en sí. Se ha vuelto prudente, amable, amigable y cariñoso, sin ninguna intención de provocar el caos solo por perseguir sus propios fines egoístas. Parece que está muy lejos de encadenarse a unas cuchillas llameantes, entrenar con torpedo-delfines o buscar dentro de nidos de ornitorrinco. ¿O no es así?
En ultima instancia, el incidente con las cuchillas llameantes ha provocado que Goal caiga denuevo en Deponia. El accidente, ha provocado que la conciencia de Goal quede dividida en tres partes y almacenada en tres discos distintos.
Ahora está en manos de Rufus convencer a las tres partes de Goal, utilizando su encanto y sus notables habilidades de persuasion, para embarcarse en una nueva operación hacia Eylsium con ella, y salvar Deponia de la ruina mientras está en ello.
La segunda aventura en Deponia cuenta una historia única e independiente, autocontenida y jugable sin necesidad de conocer los hechos de la primera parte. Los fans de la precuela descubrirán nuevos aspectos en los trasfordos de los personajes, y veran como muchas preguntas abiertas quedan contestadas.

With this long-expected sequel to the critically highly acclaimed and
lavishly praised Deponia, the player enters round two. Chaos on Deponia
turns out to be even wackier than its predecessor and instantly puts the
player under its spell.
After the events on Deponia, it seems that Rufus came to his senses.
He's grown prudent, amicable, kind and caring, without any intention to
cause major mayhem just to further his own selfish ends. It seems he
is far from chaining himself to flaming saw blades, training torpedo-dolphins
or foraging through platypus nests. Or is he?
Ultimately it's a flaming saw blade grounding Goal on Deponia again.
By accident, her consciousness gets split into three parts and stored to
three different discs.
Now it's on Rufus once again to convince all three parts of Goal, utilizing his
remarkable charming wits, to become one again, venture to Eylsium with her
and save Deponia from certain doom while he's at it.
The second adventure on Deponia tells a unique, self-contained story playable
without further knowledge of the first installment. Fans of the first game discover
new aspects of familiar characters' backgrounds and see open questions answered.
