ReScene
ReScene is a mechanism for backing up and restoring the metadata from "scene" released RAR/music files. I.e. you can recreate the original RAR archives again and put back the original tagging on music files. It was created to support the x264 community, but we have found that it works for many of the other "scenes" out there too. You cannot compare SRRs to torrent files. They cannot help you obtain illegal video or music files.
